Arduino Christmas tree

Posted on December 20, 2021December 21, 2021 by Mark Donners

This is a little project for Christmas. A nice Arduino Christmas tree, Arduino driven with 14 pixleds. WS2812. It’s controlled by a tiny arduino and although the software sketch is not complicated, the result is nice and shiny.

This is an open source project, all schematics, software and building instructions are available for you. Use it, change is, heck even sell it. It’s ok but if you do one or more of the above, please give me credit by linking back to my channel.…

How to make a powerful Tesla Coil high voltage Russian slayer – build your own

Posted on December 20, 2021December 21, 2021 by Mark Donners

This is a rebuild of a small tesla coil, directly powered by 230V outlet. Be warned! This is high voltage.
Touching any part of the circuit or even the output of the coil CAN KILL YOU. Rebuild and use at your own risk… Although that looks very cool, my main question was: “Really? And Can I build it?” This is an open source project, all schematics, software and building instructions are available for you.

Use it, change is, heck even sell it.…

Amazing Rubber band tommy toygun – Unreal Tournament at office

Posted on December 20, 2021December 20, 2021 by Mark Donners

I rebuild the Rotary Mek 10X Rubber band Tommy toygun, designed by Julian Marsh ( Rubbergunner on Youtube). Using his Book ( amazon) I was able to recreate his design. I changed some dimensions to fit local supply availabilty.

It can hold 70 rubber bands at a time and it is able to fire it all in about 3 seconds.

I brought this toygun to the office to surprise my colleagues. They Loved my Tommy Toygun

Best Soldering station from China – JADE vs JBC

Posted on December 19, 2021December 21, 2021 by Mark Donners

In this video I do a review of my JABE soldering station. If you are looking for a decent soldering station that doesn’t cost you a fortune, this might be a good option.
Under review: Soldering Station JABE UD-1200. ( China Clone)
Purchased at: Alieexpress
Compared to JBC CD-2SQE ( professional precision soldering station )

Although buying a China clone of a good product might save you money, remember that an original product wasn’t developed over night.…
